Twenty members of the LHBA Renovators’ Council spent an intense two days 'on the tools' at the May Court Club. After years of using every penny raised to fund their programs, May Court's shop badly needed attention and the Renovators were more than willing to help. The shop's makeover included new cabinets, countertops, electrical panel, energy efficient lighting, plumbing, barrier free change rooms and a complete coat of fresh paint adding function and appeal for the club's clients. The May Court Club supports 89 schools with the London School Nutritional Program, outfits young adults seeking their first job, and provides clothing for families. A forerunner of London's Good-will Industries, the May Court Club (under the name of The Goodwill Shop) opened in 1935. The LHBA Renovators’ Council is comprised of renovators and suppliers/subtrades who are renovation industry professionals that work together to promote ethical renovation practices. Duo Building Ltd. challenged Covenant Construction, Four Seasons Sunrooms, Melchers Construction Ltd. & Millennium Construction & Design to see who could collect the most food for the London Food Bank. The big winner was the London Food Bank as 5800 pounds of food and $500.00 were donated from this group. Renovators give May Court a makeover!
